Reid Psychological Services Ltd was founded in October 2017 by Dr Louise Reid. As an independent
Neuropsychology practice, clients can expect a range of evidence-based interventions and treatments to
support them with their needs. Services are offered across Scotland.
The service offers cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, psychological therapy and behaviour
management to individuals with a brain injury. Interventions can also be provided to the client’s relatives to support them through the complex journey of neurorehabilitation.
The service provides neuropsychological expert witness reports in the context of personal injury proceedings, with instructions being accepted from pursuers and defenders.
Training and consultation services are also available.

READ MOREDr Louise Reid is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and has worked in the field of neurorehabilitation for over 10 years. With experience in inpatient, outpatient and
community settings, Dr Reid has a wealth of knowledge and experience ensuring that the treatment recommended and provided is evidence-based and tailored to an
individual’s needs.
Dr Reid has been listed on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists since 2014, having completed British Psychological Society accredited training in
Neuropsychology. This is considered to be the ‘gold standard’ of training in
Neuropsychology.
In her current role as Head of Neuropsychological Services at Murdostoun Brain Injury
Rehabilitation Services, Dr Reid not only has the opportunity to work within a specialist interdisciplinary team, but continue to gain experience of working with a range of
complex presentations following brain injury and/or neurological illness and disease.
Dr Reid is keen to contribute the evidence-base and has been asked on several occasions to act as an external reviewer for research papers submitted to the international journal Brain Injury. Additionally, Dr Reid’s current research interest relates to the pharmacological interventions available to improve cognitive function following severe brain injury.
